Westwood Park – Possible New Children’s Play Area

Westwood Park has a small play area for children up to about 8 years old. There is little provision for older children. The Parish Council, supported by the Community Association, is applying for a grant of £50,000 from the Play Builder fund in order to create a new area which would cater for the 8 -13 age group.  The Council will add a further amount of up to £20,000 if the bid is successful.
It is proposed to site the new area close to the car park and away form the present play area for younger children.  At a later date it might be possible to re-locate the existing play area to space adjacent to the new area.
