Little Chalfont
Little Chalfont Community Library was opened in February 2007. It is a "state of the art" facility not only offering the full facilities of a County Library but much more.

Library users can use their County library card to borrow books and other items in exactly the same way as they would use a County Library. If you do not have a card you can apply for one at the library.

Since 2007 a significant financial investment has been made in new stock. As a result the library has a very up to date range of both fiction and non-fiction books plus large print and audio books. The range encompasses books for both adults and children. If a book is not currently available you can request it from County wide stock or that the library should purchase it for local stock.

Other facilities include free public access PCs with internet access and the Microsoft Office suite of applications plus free wireless broadband access (the library is the only wireless "hotspot" in the area). Printing and scanning facilities are also available together with photocopying and laminating.

Regular sessions are run for pre-school children and for adults a series of classes are available to help them access the internet and learn computing skills.

The library may be hired for meetings by businesses, individuals and other organisations. Special rates are offered for not-for-profit community organisations.
A computer data projector and large drop down screen are available for presentations.

The library is managed and run by over 50 unpaid volunteers. Operating costs are covered by donations, grants and fund raising activities. If you would like to make a donation or become a volunteer please contact the library.

Little Chalfont Community Library is a warm and welcoming place to visit. The volunteer staff will be more than pleased to help you use the facilities. Why not take a look at this excellent award winning community facility or contact the library for more information.
