Town and Country planning matters are likely to have a growing effect on many local residents. Government pressure on local authorities to build large numbers of new houses in the South East of England are of great concern to us. We continue to argue against over development on planning grounds. Additionally, restrictive covenants have been used successfully in Little Chalfont in the last year or two to deter developers who have tried to get approval for house building on the back gardens of existing properties. Action groups have been set up to resist attempts to get Covenants removed that would otherwise prevent the development.
