Little Chalfont and the surrounding area is rich in wildlife. The large number and variety of trees encourage birds. In addition, a large number of small animals and reptiles can be found. One of the rarer species is the Glis Glis which, in this country, is found only in Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and areas nearby.
A wildlife survey was conducted in the village during the early part of 2002.
The results were published - condensed versions were distributed to all members and comprehensive results are available for inspection in the local library or may be purchased (£1).
